Tea Tree Oil is a natural treatment for acne, athlete’s foot, inflammation and general wounds. The refreshing and purifying oil can also ease the symptoms of bronchitis, coughs, colds, sinusitis and gum infections. Traditionally used as a medicinal essential oil, it has antifungal, anti-infectious, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral and bactericidal properties. Considered a middle note when blended with other essential oils, tea tree works well with lavender, rose, sandalwood, palmarosa and thyme oils. The oil is obtained through steam distillation and has a pungent, spicy and herbal scent.
